Abandoned

When the Goss Headliner printing press was delivered to the Daily Sentinel in 1984, the 180-ton press arrived by rail in multiple pieces. It took three weeks to deliver all of the parts and install them in a new building constructed with a concrete slab three feet thick, sitting on 123 pylons from 20 feet to 60 feet deep. The printing press officially retired July 4, 2021. The pictures of the press shown here are composited from several images.
