A Good Picture Takes Us Somewhere

This picture takes me back to my roots as a child... well, not precisely. This is a photograph of an old bridge in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park; I grew up in New Jersey. But it reminds me in so many ways of my childhood where there was lots of water and huge green trees, much different than where I've lived all of my adult life in the high desert of western Colorado. Plus... how many of us guys didn't want to invite the girl we had a crush on for a ride in a rowboat but were too scared to ask?
